I am not sure where to post this so here I go.Cold engine car starts after driving warm engine car acts like starter bad.I put a heat sheild from zip on the car.It has headers on it. Other than that the car runs good. Also do they make plug wire that

The guy at the parts store is likely the same guy who would work for whatever little salary the boss is willing to pay...not for his knowledge.
There are lots of plug wires made for header equipped cars. MSD, Taylor, Pertronix, Accel, and others all make high temp wires. The guys who race have to get their stuff from somewhere.
Check out a local speed shop, Summit Racing or Jegs for many choices.
It did sound like your starter was heat soaked and was affected by the heat. If the heat shield did the trick, you're golden. If you continue to have trouble, consider a mini-starter to put some more space between it and the headers.
