I have not heard anything about that. But I love the Stingray name. I would like to see it back.

that's why I love mine more than Colleen's, even though the 78 is more comfortable to be in.......Stingray on the side.

I think it would be okay by me, but they would need to retrostyle the car to make the name work.

I hope the headlights dissappear again. My wife and I looked at a new vette yesterday (just looking). I really don't like the Euro headlight look. All the emblems in the world can't change my feelings concerning this issue for me (sorry). Fortunitly the car has many other attributes that mask over this area of style.

I heard that the Stingray would be some economy version of a sports car. A V-6 engine, maybe small turbo, but I guess the idea is a more affordable "Corvette". I heard this at an auto expo, but nothing concrete.

That would make sense that GM is considering doing something like that. Lord knows they need some major breakthrough or a miracle to escape the rut they are in right now. Ford's Mustang has beat them up pretty bad, and now there will be the Challenger which will most likely add a lot more salt to the wound. I don't think the Challenger will be available in a low horsepower version, but there are tons of V6 Mustangs that do great on gas and don't cost an arm and leg to purchase. Have you seen their attempt at re-styling the Camaro? Just my opinion, but I don't think it's going to fly. It really doesn't look like the old Camaro at all. I would hope that if GM went ahead with this project it would be an all new car with rear wheel drive, not another re-styled Cobalt. Maybe this is what they should pursue to replace the GTO that will no longer be produced after June of this year.

Yeah, and make it Riverside (Greypouponmustard) Gold!
Didn't like the Camero either.
