Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
i am feeling a little slighted here.  I believe that the count for 70 verts is the lowest produced and it is around 6648?  if I had my black book close i would look it up for you, but i am killing time at wife office waiting for her meeting to get over so we can to to a community play

Vette(s): 1969 convertible L71 427/435 4-speed black interior
According to the Corvette Black Book, in the '71 model year there were 7121 convertibles built and 14,680 coupes. There were 1949 LT-1's built so if you figure the same proportion holds then somewhat less than half of the 7121 convertibles could be LT-1's. Whether that proportion is anywhere accurate is anyone's guess.

Gunslinger,
I think you mean that about half of the 1949 LT1's might be convertibles. That would be about 975.
Now, how many of those are registered here?

Yep...you're correct. I guess I had a brain fart. Still, I'm not aware of any figures stating the exact number of convertible LT-1's. All we can go by is the SWAG method...Scientific Wild Ass Guess.
