I use Corvette Central as a last resort for any parts, last week they reaffirmed why. Monday morning I ordered 2 light bulb sockets at $3.70 each, I was charged a total of $16.48 with s/h (they are the only vender I know that charges a seperate handling fee). Friday I hadn't received the sockets yet so I called for tracking #, I was told they went out by mail on Wednesday. They charged me over $9 s/h and it took them almost 3 days to ship. When I received them there was an add for a new service they offer, same day shipping for an extra $3-$4 dollars. This is why I use Bairs.

So now some vendors are charging a fee to process orders in a timely manner. That makes me
Time to find other vendors.

"no rush", got them 3 days later and the shipping/handling fee was MORE
than the stickers! I'm off C.C. too. Anyone have problems with ZIP? I need
to get a Bair catalog...

I've never had a problem with ZIP either. When I was at Vette Fest I got a catalog from Chicago Corvette, they have a big catalog with a lot of stuff and are good to deal with also. Whenever I order I always try Bair's first (Brian is great to deal with). If they don't have what I need then I start looking at other catalogs. CC seems to have the attitude that they're so big that customer service doesn't matter. Unfortunately sometimes I have to give in when no one else has the part, but I'm going to start looking harder.
