In the near future I will be putting a Holley Performance carburetor with a new intake manifold in my 79. I'll also put a MSD Multiple Spark Discharge Ignition in and change the stock fan to dual electic fans, and may change to a better radiator if needed. Down the road I would really like to put in a supercharger. I know that Weiand-brand superchargers are available for Chevrolet small block engines. Has anyone on the board installed a Weiand or for that matter any supercharger on their C3, and if so could you please give me some feedback.....some do's and don't to supercharging if you will. |confusing|

Thanks in advance,

JR

Supercharging is a great way to increase HP. However, there are a lot of things to consider before you start. There are a number of books available that discuss it in great detail. I suggest you contact ATI, maker of the pro charger system. Their brochure describes the differences between the roots type, and their screw type blower. Makes interesting reading.

Wozza from melbourne australia here,i have to agree with alex on this one the best thing to do is buy a book on super chargeing.I have a B&M 144 single carb charger on my 75 and it is just right for what i wanted, biggest problem is heat you need to make sure you can keep it cool and if you can do that then you will have no real problems.Once done it's the best fun you can have,So good luck with your vette and hope all goes well.
