I have some drive up ramps (for raising up just the front end).
Does anyone see any reason why I shouldn't park my '79 on them when it's in the garage?

IMHO: There should'nt be any problem as long as the tires are not deformed by a possible detent or guides on the top (flat part) of the ramp. There should'nt be any body stress differences then if you were parked on a hill.

Not sure about clearance issue ... and I am assuming that you mean parking on them while making repairs. I see no benefit of parking on them 24/7 (for storage).

Basically, I'm asking because I'm lazy and don't want to have to set up the ramps and put them away each time I want to crawl under the car.

i agree as above. as long as your tires aren't being deformed and the car remains level (use all four ramps), there is no problem.

That's just it. I just have the front ramps. What is the problem with keeping it unlevel?

Check the Body section of the C3vr Forum Adam. Post about a front clip shifting. I've seen it on mine as well, the doors won't open or close when one end is in the air and the other not. AKA open a door, jack it up, door won't close. Jack it up then try to get in, doors don't open. Same with tops. Depends on the height of the lift, right now I'm replacing the headers, so its WAY up in the air and you can tell.

When jacking up one end, so one wheel, then the torsion of the frame is making it not posible to open a door. When you take ramps in stead of a jack, there's no problem.
