Vette(s): 1976 stingray t top l48

Thank you for the welcome I have some questions on  76 L48 I bought. I did the vin decoder and found it was made in 6 of 76 and checked the block numbers which also are for a L48 made 6 of 76 should the vin and block #s be the same or is this a match?

Welcome to the C3VR family, Rick (webfoot).    Tongue

The sequential portion of the VIN is stamped into the engine block on a pad just forward of the passenger side engine head.  If you have these matching, then it is the original engine installed on your car, and that is very desirable when buying or selling your vette.
