Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Welcome George

Looks like a nice car.  Tell us a little more about yourself and your car.  How did you come to own it?  What condition was it in and is in now? What are your plans for it? Of course what part of the country are you from?

Vette(s): I own a late 79 C3 vette
Driving by a used car lot I saw a C3 in the back, asked about it and the owner said he was parting the car out. Asked how much for the car as it was, said $3500.00, said I will take it. I only drove it for a year before being sent overseas, came back and did not have time to work on it. It has been 21 years now and I am finally getting to restore it back to how it looked in 79. Except for the Engine, transmission, rear end, and suspension. Plan on doing a complete frame off restoration and installing a modified LS2 to give it some needed power, compared to the 195hp it came with from GM.
Hoping to have it back on the road by early next year.

That is a great story so post some pictures of it as you go through the process.  Lots of guys on this forum with experience to help you when you need it.

What part of the country are you from.  Update your profile it is always interesting to see where everyone is from and where they currently hangout.
