Thanks, i joined because I am looing for information on a 1977 Corvette Coupe that was given to me by a customer and it needs lot. The first hitng I am trying to check the VIN and engine number. I have been trying to research the numbers but get no where. My VIN is !H57W2B586856 which does not seem to follow all the info I found that Corvettes should have a "Z" fo the second digit.

Welcome to C3VR Tom. When you post again how about send the VIN again. The one here does not appear to be remotely close to a Vette number. I have a few books containing all Vette Vins from 63-82. Enjoy the site.

Thanks, I spoke with a dealer friend of mine and he says it has a 1977 Monte Carlo VIN plate on it. Now I have to find the VIN on hte frame to verify the real Identification number. Now to the good stuff...
