Hi Wedell! Welcome to a great groupof C3 people. It sure seems like you have quite a great Corvette. This is the place to keep it in tiptop shape. We have quite a few people that can help you with some most of your questions. Enjoy!

Welcome, Wendell! Sounds like a nice car! You'll find that this is the best site on the net for C3 info and talk! Enjoy!

Thanks for the welcome aboard.   I'd been looking for an original, un-molested 80 model 4 speed for quite some time. When I found her, I happily sold my 90 ZR to buy the 80.  My 90 was faster, handled better, and had better gas mileage----but----lacked character.   My 80 has all of the character I can stand, and then some!  Without all of the electronic headaches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the welcome ebo.  Yes, I believe that there were only 2300 brown 1980 models built, and around 2500, 4 speed models. I wasn't looking for a rare car, I just wanted a 4 sp.  The color was just icing on the cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow great story! I'm sure you have noticed then when these sharks drive into a car show with all the new stangs and vettes they are the ones that get the attention,
as they should.
My first attempt at a 1980 vette was a four speed, but once I had it inspected on a lift it had been run out thru a cornfield. I ran away from that car and stayed low until I found my white one about 1 1/2 years old. That one has 19K on it right now. Both mine are auto's as you already know 4sp's are rare.
I hope you like it here and join up, I'd love to see that car in person!
Awesum profile shot, you for sure look like you'd fit right in here. Thumbs Up
