Thanks for the warm welcome. I just bought my first Corvette this morning, 89 coupe, L98, red, AT, a garage queen for the last 13 years with 85K original miles.

I've been hunting a 3rd gen Z28 for months but in my price range I could only find wreck repairs, peeling clear coat, rust buckets and cars that were just plain used up. I expanded my search, found this Corvette right across the bay and got it for $5K. Never saw a decent Z28 for $5K.

And I'm glad I did. This car just plain "feels" good, and is very comfy once I fold up my 6'3" 275lb carcass and stuff it in the seat.
