Thanks for the hearty welcome folks. I am actually getting the '72 this weekend, buying it from my best friend's father. I have been lusting for this car since I was 16 years old, and now he is giving me the chance to make it my own. Feeling like a pretty lucky guy right now.
I need some help with something though. This may be a newbie question, and I will apologize in advance for my ignorance....
I want to find out how many 72 LT-1 convertibles with 4 speeds were originally built. Have been all over the net, and while I can find out how many convertibles (6508), LT-1s (1741) and M-21 4 speed (1638,) I can't seem to find out how many had all three.... Is there a database out there that I can't seem to find? Or am I asking too much?
Please point me in the right direction. My buddy and I are going to start working on the car this Friday, and I intend to do a series of before and after pics. She hasn't been on the road more then 5 times since 2001......!
Thanks! Chad
