I wanted to thank all of those who welcomed me here. I just bought my wife her first Corvette, a white 1992 convertible. The 92 ragtop is my sixth Vette, being preceded by a 1960, a 1970, a 1974, a 1977, and a 1987. I guess that makes me a Corvette recidivist, or repeat offender. I have only three questions so far: 1) Was PKE available on 1992s, 2) and is the lack of a PKE transmitter with the car the reason I keep setting off the alarm and 3) does anyone know where I can get hardtop bolts for the hardtop on a 1992, as two were missing when we got it home. Thanks for any and all help. Redvette1960

PKE was factory 93-96---but I've heard that some late production '92s also had it (I've never laid eyes on one myself)---If yours is equipped you should see "passive keyless entry" on the screen above the heat/ac controls for a few seconds when you cycle the key.
As far as the hardtop bolts contact some of the vendors here ( Bairs Corvettes--Corvette America--Mid America Motorworks etc. )--one of them may be able to help.
