Hi Guys,
(large image modified to link-aapple)
|UPDATED|12/5/2013 11:14:50 AM (AZT)|/UPDATED|
I have just bought my C3 last Sunday ! It's a 1979 model coming from New York.
I have some job to do on it :
I have to repair the Temp gauge and the oil pressure gauge at first. So if you could give me some help I would appreciate. How to dissamble the central deck to access the gauge ?
The motor is a SB with Edelbrock performance RPM and a 650 Holley carb, a 4in1 exhaust manifold and a dual pipe rear muffler.
I want to change the pipe and the muffler and keep the manifold but I do'(t know what to choose!
I owm also a BMW 3.0 CS and 5 motorcycles (3 that I have restored.)
Some of my restotation and run on speed track on Daily Motion search: Eric Miqueu
Regards.

Just a recommendation that when you want specific help you will get better response by posting it under that message title.

That said the first thing I would recommend is that you get the GM shop manual for your year this is a link to one I found http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corvette-service-manual-1979.html . All other manuals are not worth a lot.
Ebay may have them also. Not sure how that works for overseas shipment. But maybe someone on the east coast can help you with that. I would do it but it would cost a little more as I'm in San Diego.
Just an option may be you could hold up the shipment of your car if it has not gone that far and have the manuals and parts delivered to the guy that is shipping it then the postage would be free.
How do you know the gauges do not work? If you are realitively sure then I would purchase them and have them shipped to the guy selling you the car. Let him include it. If you cannot do that then buy and have them sent to a contact here in the USA have them box it up and send everything as one shipment.
Good to have you on the forum.
