Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

Glad to be on board! I've been frustrated with local clubs that are full of only C5 and C6 owners. I hope to find and share some valuable info here!
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

There is a local club here that seems to be either new or racing focused. They don't interest me. But here is like a family. Welcome.

Nice to have another In. fellow on board. Where bouts in Indy ya located? My daughter lives downtown & my wife & I live 50 mi. east in Greensburg, In. Maybe we can get together to cruise sometime or I'll at least thow out an invitation when myself an my local buddies go out. We are like you in the sense that we don't belong to a club but we do get together from time to time to take a spin an stop to eat.
I read your line about the newer car owners and I tend to agree. Even though I own a C5 as well. I am definately a "Save The Wave" kinda guy who doesn't have much use for those that can't share the passion.
At any rate I just wanted to say Hey and thow out the invite.

tuxblacray, I saw you were in Greensburg. I'm on the east side of Indy - not too far a run from you. Would love to get together for a cruise or whatever on a nice dry day. Looks like Cir City CC is having a get together this Saturday in Brown County, but looks like it might rain...
How do I get a picture of my car on here? I keep trying, but can't get anything to work!!

I was lucky with my 1st picture post after I posted the pic on Web Shots I was able to go out an grab it to post. This is probally the most common problem. Easiest way is to get the picture in your signature would be to post the link in your signature and then send one of the moderators an e-mail for help to someone such as Norsky (AKA Jim Olsen) The mods are great and quick to help. Either that or they just wanna see your car as bad as the rest of us.
I'll let you know ahead when I plan on driving up to visit with my daughter and we can take a cruise. Are you a member of Circle City Vette Club? It's funny that you mentioned them at Brown county. A few years back 4 of us were out for a cruise and got mixed in with them by accident during a poker run they were having at Brown County. One of the ladies at a checkpoint was pretty confused when we showed up in the middle of the run. She politely asked if we would pull aside so that they might continue, which we did with no problem.
