Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
welcome Lee

Nice chrome bumper car.  Tell us how you came to own it.  Let us know a little about yourself also.  Is that your son?

Thanks Guys. Just bought it back in August. Needs some TLC. I've always wanted an older vette. The gentleman I purchased it from was moving to Florida to retire. It does not have AC and he did not have the room for it in Florida. He did a lot of work to it and he wanted to sell it to someone he knew and would take care of it. He had some good stories about his times he had with it. It was in turnkey condition. I've had fun tooling around town on the nice weekends. Although I think I'm done driving it for the year. Here are some of the things I know about it

85K miles (at least that's what the Odometer reads, the 8 does not lineup exactly with the other numbers in the odometer), all numbers match, 4 speed,  350/350, I suspect it has been repainted as I can see a little overspray here and there but he did not have it painted, the rear has been rebuilt, new tires, new chrome, new exhaust all the way through, new radiator, new starter, new alternator, new intake manifold, carpet was replaced as were the door panels, needs a radio and all the weather stripping needs to be replaced,  There are some small cracks here and there in the fiberglass as well as a little buckle in the nose by the left headlight and of course needs a paint job and some TLC.

Lee
