Thanks Adam, I have just completed an NCRS restoration of a 58 FI and was looking for a new project. While driving through the country (it's ALL "country" around here) I saw a mid 80s vette for sale in the lawn. Although I am not interested in a c4 I stopped to talk and spied an older vette in the barn (honest!). It was a 77 in reasonably decent shape but the guy said he blew the engine. I left but called back and offered a really low price. Three months later he called and said come get it, so I did. I think the engine may be OK but if not I have a 350 with less than 8,000 miles from the 58 that I can use. I think this will be a more FUN car with updated suspension and a little more design freedom. I have been checking out the forums and trying to learn about C3s. I plan a body off restoration (I really like working on Vetts). It looks like quite a good group that own them and I look forward to the experience.

Great story, I passed a beautiful black '77 on my way to work this AM, it looked like either the guy kept it up very very well or did a awsome rebuild. Good luck with your project.MARK
