Now THAT'S funny!
Welcome to the Shark Tank....I think you'll find lots-o-help in the restoration/repair/upgrade of your 'Vette here. It's only $$$, a little sweat(er...'perspiration'), and the willingness to learn a few new dirty words!!

Dear VNCruiser:

I would LOVE to go to the "Rat Fink Extravaganza"  I don't know what it is, but it sounds weird.  How will I recognize you?

I am going to send lowbrower a picture of the Silver Shark--don't laugh when you see it!

Adam's Apple:  I really don't think I can restore my own Vette--I'm not sure I know the difference between a wrench and a screwdriver... I'd REALLY be starting from square one.  And wouldn't I get my hands dirty?

Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
Welcome the fully vette, first thing first whats this I'm only a girl crap, if it wasn't for only girls, I wouldn't have enough pennies to buy parts, wife is good with money larry not so good.  Also there are a lot of fine women on this site, that could help you, piont in the right directions, so on ans so on.  As far as getting hands dirty, I am sort of with you on that one, I know very little about cars in general, damn near nothing really, I have figured out the difference between a screwdriver and a wrench, the screwdriver is what I used to drink and the wrench is what she used to throw,LOL. but really I cut meat for a living so my hands need to stay pretty clean, that is why that make latex gloves, work great in the garage, use a lot of them.  As far as doing the work yourself, don't if you don't want to, you could always pay some one to do it, or find a guy that is real handy with a wrench and then dump him, what as if that has never happened.  okay time for my meds. see ya. Larry

I'll be there with Lowbrowser. You've seen the pic of his car on his posts. Mine is a red '72 with mirrored T-tops. I'll be parked next to him. So look for the green and red Vettes parked together. Also, we will be wearing "Wild Bunch" t-shirts. Lowbrowser is really easy to spot too. He has a shaved head with "C3" tatooed on it....not really.

                                Hope to see you there,

That's too bad.  I'm into shaved heads.

But where is it?  You are giving me very little information.  What is a Rat Fink Extravaganza?

Its a celebration of the life of Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, the creator of the Rat Fink character popular in the 60's and early 70"s. he created many wild cars from scratch and alot of great hot rod inspired art. He passed away in 2001.  He still has an almost cult-like following. What you will see at the Extravganza  is a lot of hot rods, rat rods and some really bizzare cars. Also, because its at the LACR dragstrip, you can run your car for time slips....cool............
