Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Welcome Fred

Tell us something about you and your car.  How did you come to own it?  What condition was it in? What are your plans for it?

And of course how can we help you?

Vette(s): 1969 427/400hp corvette conv
thanks,looks like a great site,,well i bought [3 months ago],i found this on-line,now the good part

its a 1969 c3 with some great features
1.convertible
2.427/400hp tri-power
3.turbo 400 auto trans
4.factory side pipes
5.alarm
6.power steering
7.power brakes
8.am/fm stereo
9.tinted windows
10.monza red with a black vinyl int

now the best part ,its 99% original[every casting number, vin, stamping] and its been 1/2 restored [body stripped, eng and trans rebuilt, frame and susp stripped and repainted]

but its so original because its been apart for 25-30 years in a guys garage,so now ive got the body on a stand [going to paint soon],i just finished going true the eng[new rings, bearings, gaskets]after i recleaned the carbs it want on the dyno to break-in the cam and seat everything, trans went to the friends tranny shop and he want thru it and dyno'd it,yes the eng and trans were gone thru years ago,but im glad i now their done right,i just took the rear susp to ck and redo the parts to factory specs,,every nut-bolt-washer is going back to factory specs,im trying to replace as little as possible to keep correct

Sounds like a great find
Post some pictures as you progress Kind of like a travel log.  Will make you a good scrapbook later on.

How did you come to find it anyway.  There has to be at least a short story there?
