Good handle. Tell us something about your car.  How did you come to own it and what condition is it in.

Vette(s): 1981 Corvette Coupe - 4 speed, silver on blue
Thanks for the welcomes.  I've been watching for a 4 speed in the right condition for the right price in the older c3 body style which I prefer.  We acquired this vette in Clute, TX.  Looks like I will be the 4th owner.  Previous owner was a great guy and really helped us make the decision to buy with his honesty and fairness.  It's the two tone silver on blue with a blue interior.  Its pretty well factory except for some parts of the exhaust.  It runs well and survived the trip from Houston to Fort Worth.  I look forward to making some improvements and really enjoy seeing the what people have done to theirs on the website.  The exterior is in mostly good condition but after getting the interior improved and the engine cleaned up, I definitely plan on getting a modern paint job with the factory colors.
In regards to this website, I can tell you that the welcomes and the amount of activity have helped me decide to commit to the upgraded package!!

Also, expect pictures very soon.  It makes all the difference!

The help and the traffic on the site is what got me to upgrade.  I only know enough to get myself in trouble most of the time.  But there are some guys on this site that have knowledge that is unbelievable.

If someone has not recommend it already get yourself a GM shop manual.  The manuals that cover all years are really only of limited help unless you jump into the high end professional manuals.

Did not see a lot currently listed but this is one just so you know what I'm talking about http://www.auto-repair-manuals.com/1981-Corvette-Factory-Shop-Service-Repair-Manual-ST36481.html?gclid=CNzMtMuRwbcCFeuDQgodMDcAmw
