Hi there from down under (NZ) !

New Plymouth is in the North Island of New Zealand,
hanging out one side, half way up. The NP bit was just
to keep the sign up page happy, as it wanted a state
(2 letters) but we don't have states here. So I entered NP (short for New Plymouth of course) to keep it happy :-)

I have just bought my first ever Vette, after hanging
out for for one for 20 years or so. Stupid mortgages,
kids, school etc just kept getting in the way before
now.

Its a silver 81 C3, in real nice condition. I've owned
it for a whole week now, and still exploring and learning. It's FUN !!! It was imported to NZ in January this year from Japan (yep, that's right) where it has been since 1991. Seems like one lady owner stuff almost.
Would be interesting to explore it's history. Anyway 87,000 miles, and everything works, just need to find a few light bulbs (courtesy lights, glove box, hood, spare wheel lamp.) Nothing too serious.

Question time... is there any easy way to confirm if
the "low fuel" light works without actually running it out of gas (if it doesn't) ???

If you could get to the fuel sending unit wiring, and ground it, the gauge will read empty and the light should come on.
