Hi there

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm a happy Corvette owner since 2003. I had at that time the possibility to move for some years to the States and my first goal was to buy a nice American car. My guideline were at that time the followings:

- It needed to be a classic
- In such condition, that I can drive it at that time every day, because it would be my only car then there
- Manual transmission
- As much as possible in original condition
- Not to old and not to young. Between 25 - 29 years. So that it will be soon 30 years and can be then back home registered as an veteran / oldtimer car if it is also in original condition.
- Needed to be registered the in the US for at least 6 month before returning back home (in such case there will be no import tax back home and no big modifications needed to fulfill the local regulations)
- Engine sice and HP was not an issue.

Soon I decided it must be a C3 Corvette. But it was not easy to find one, which will fit my needs. First the manual transmission seamed to be a problem and the other thing was, that on most cars I looked at "Buba" (I think you call it that way) had his fingers in and on the car.

Finally I found one
An early 77 with manual transmission and with an costumer order two tone interieur.

Of course for me it was already clear at that time, that one day I will make a frame-off restoration and try to build it up again as original as possible. 

Since then I was collecting lot of information, documentation and also slowly gathered parts for the day, which will come.

Last year I was able to get a big garage So the time had come and this year on the 1st of May I started with my littel project.
As I can see at the moment is, that the following items are the only ones which are not really factory original:
- radiator
- generator
- water pump
- shocks
Everithing else have the correct bolts, part / casting number and also the corresponding date codes



The car is not only fun to drive, it is also fun to work on it.

When I saw the picture of your car and the country behind it I said that is not the USA quick guess was Southern Germany.  Not that far off as far as the beautiful  country you have around you.
