vettebeige81, I'm guessing the "bg" is for Bowling Green. '81 was the first year for the BG assy. line, and they were still building them in St. Louis, at the same time.

Adam apple You are right, Mine was built in bg Just didn't think of that, I knew vettes where made in two locations that year.
