Unfortunately, the VIN doesn't give a specific engine size/type until '72.
However, if you can get the numbers off of the engine "stamp pad", it will tell you what it is, assuming it is the original engine. You can look in THESE Places for the stamp pad location, and get the numbers. You want to know the Engine ID number/VIN. Then, post them here, and we will decode them for ya.
