This tribute is for you, Uncle Zeke. The man who loved his 1979 Corvette but couldn't drive it because of bad knees, arthritis, and the heavy burden of depression. For 15 years, the car sat in your driveway, a beautiful monument of rust waiting for the open road—just as you waited for a relief that never came.
A Special Thank You
While you couldn't drive the car you loved, you gave our family a gift. It's a gift that my son, Matt, has carried with pride. He took your 'Vette and, with the help of CJ, Ricardo and Kelly of Gifford Auto Body in Manville, New Jersey, brought it back to life exactly the way you would have wanted it.
Now, the car has a new life on the road, with your name on the license plate: Zeke 79. It’s a rolling tribute to the man we love. When we see the Corvette, we will always think of you and the freedom you found, even if it was not behind the wheel of a 'Vette.
