Vette(s): 1994 C4, purchased as a project car, then to make project easier 1995 C4

Long time Vette enthusiast, Owned a 1976 Stingray a long time ago, Had kids and time happened.  I am always watching for Corvettes on market place, and finally found and 94 C4 I could work with.  Joined the forum mainly for conversation and tips and tricks.   The 94 I originally purchased has a salvage title, in which for the price I figured I could do alot of work and make it prime again,  While starting the work I found this is going to be more challenging than expected, but with that interior (great shape) engine (not a single ping, knock, rattle, or leak), and that Transmission (shifts on a dime, shift kit does not hesitate, and clear red fluid), I will not give up.  My 17 year old son put his video game down and has been out there with me cleaning and sanding pushing and wrenching.  This is the most time we have spent together in years.  Back to the 94.  While sanding the rear I found that the previous owner had cut the rear off another car (not bumper cover) to put in this one.  ( it was rear ended), I was like "What?"  Then I found that he used spray foam to attach the panels together, and then used bondo to try to make it smooth.  We completely stripped everything back to where we had the rear deck lid separated from the car.  Seems a new plan had to be made.  We took a youtube crash course on fiberglass work and bought all the stuff to make this happen.

After two days of prep work we are ready to start shaping this thing back together on Saturday, (Today is Thursday) and then it happened.   PING,, PING.... new notification from marketplace  1995 C4 Chevrolet Corvette Roller project car for sale, 3 miles from me, Clear title, just need engine and transmission.  So now I have 2 C4's here.  We have the 95 prepped for a new engine and we have the 94's exhaust pulled ready to snatch that engine out.  If you guys are interested I can make a project page with updates.  Let me know.

I posted this in the Welcome post but I will post it here too.

Welcome! What a great story!  We would certainly love to see pics and description of your projects along the way and/or when you are done.  Also, if you want to write some How-Tos or Tips & Tricks they can be added to those areas on the site!
