Hello guys,
When I order parts I notice they ask if it's a early 69 or a late 69.
I have always wondered what the difference is.
Does anyone know just for the heck of it?
My car is 16,708.
Thanks,
Ken

16,708 makes it being assembled in February '69. I would think that would make it a late '69, but the '69 model was extra long due (through December '69) to a strike, making for a late introduction of the '70s.

I don't know what differences are in a early or late '69, though I know after January 1, headrests were a required option, though could be deleted by special order.

BTW - my '69 is #16,658, fifty ahead of yours...likely assembled within hours or a day of each other. Mine was assembled Feb. 20.

Isn't that something. My car was first sold 1/70 at
V.V. Cooke Chevrolet Louisville, KY.
I have the new vehicle warranty paper and plate that has the first owner's name and address.
Our cars are almost brothers..(or sisters)
Thanks,
Ken
