GM/Chevrolet pulled out all the stops. Surrounding the main stage like a giant Hot Wheels collectors set sitting about 50 feet in the air they had all the new 05 models sitting in there own little compartments.
The model given best positon within the display set was the C6 Corvette (Dave Hills's description: the Daytona Sunset Orange or the catolgue's Daytona Orange Metallic).
The Corvette is this year's Offical Car of the Texas State Fair. The nations largest State Fair.
Positioned all around the Car Show Pavillion there were five (5) C6's strategically placed at locations in and around the complex.
Leading the nightly Light Parade for three weeks is a Millenium Yellow C6/6spd.
The only thing I had to turn a blind eye to was some kids mucking up all the interior(s) on the two models they had indoors. Climbing in and out and over the door with out opening it, geez!! Like it was Jungle Jimmy. Parents what up with that behavior? I mean, isn't anything sacred any more?
Other than the aforementioned the show was amazing with this car all over the place. As you all can imagine and some even already know this first hand.
In short, the rear hatch has a nice little grab handle inside to assist closure and the paint quality was awesome, yes awesome. All models looked like a sheet of glass in the paint finish dept. Parts fitment, hood, hatch and doors were spot on.
Over and out!
