Snow blower question

New carb on my 15 year old Cub Cadet snow blower.  The motor bogs down under load whether engaging the drive or snow auger then kicks up to speed after 3 or 4 seconds, runs fine until I have to put a load on it again.  When I start the engine I have the choke closed and she starts in 1 pull.  However, when it starts to run and I open the choke she starts to stall and will if I don't close it warm or cold engine.  I'm guessing that they didn't set the carb up correctly??? Any ideas?

Low on fuel. Sounds like a lean out condition. Could mean you have junk in the fuel line or anywhere in the fuel delivery system. A clogged breather hole on the gas cap would cause this too. If it were me, I'd drop the fuel hose and blast carb cleaner through everything making sure it went through the fuel bowl on the carb too. You might have a drain bolt on the bottom of the bowl which would give you some access. Carefull if you pull the bowl off. Sometimes the (Briggs) main jet is very long and at an angle...pulling the bowl before pull the jet can mean busting the brass jet into 2. Been there done that.

It does sound like it's not getting enough fuel, OR it's getting too much air. Perhaps a leak between the carb and head? I ain't really gotta clue....you might shoot Dwain(longhorn296) a P/M or email...he owns/runs a small engine repair facility, and he's helped me keep my chainsaw, leafblower, and weedeater running for years.

I'll send a PM.  The fuel line is new and transparent...first time I've seen that on anything. I had to replace the one the repair shop that replaced the carb installed.  They had it pinched between the tank and motor.  I'll try the easiest first and check the gas tank cap then the carb gasket.
