God help me...mom bought this car and now doesn't like that it isn't as squishy a ride as her 2000 Cadi DeVille.  She wants me to find shocks that are that squishy.  Anyone have any ideas?

I feel Mopar suspensions go "squishy" early.... so that's probably as soft as it's gonna get.  How many miles?  Are the tires over "aired"

Hate to say it, but there really isn't anything out there "squishy." Even my father in laws Caddy ATS is a very taught ride. Try to find an old low mileage Caddy for your mom.

Or look for a '03-'11 3rd Generation Mercury Grand Marquis/Ford Crown Vic. I just bought a low mileage rust free '06 Mercury Grand Marquis for my daughter. That has a really nice comfy ride. She likes it better than her mothers new Ford Fusion. Funny to hear a 16 yr. old say she really "digs" the Merc.

She likes it cause dad bought it!

I told her she was SOL so I'll buy her a nice 2001 Cadi DeVille and take her car.

Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.
We have an old 2003 Buick Park Avenue Ultra. 86,000 plus miles, and a VEERY nice ride. Easy on gas, and dependable. The ats or cts should be about the same.  Consider a trade?

Ermm BIG difference between crappy Chrysler and a Cadderack. If she really wants a magic carpet ride, get her a '70-'71 Fleetwood. Thumbs Up LOL

There's a big difference in the ride between my STS and D-evil, even tho the "T" in STS is for "Touring", My D-evil rides like a dream, while the STS is a little harsher around town. Both have road sensing suspension...the D-evil is just tuned for a more cushy ride....plus it's a little longer, and heavier. The newer Cads don't have the nice ride like the older ones do, but then, neither do any of the other manufacturer's cars, except Rolls/Bentley. Hey!! That's it! Buy Mom a new Bentley!! Wink

When she got back here to Hamburg to go thru the last of what's in the house she put the 2000 DeVille to work.  I hadn't driven it for at least a year and it really does have a great ride.  Even with over 110,000 miles and as beat as it looks from the WNY winters it still drives great.

I try to convince her to pick up a nice 1960 or 61 cadi convertible.  Heck, at about 5,000 lbs it will flatten most bumps she comes across!
