Can't believe it. In just one winter, the wheel trim rings on my '69 are starting to rust away. Must be cheap ones (I hope). Oh well, such is life.

Are they stainless steel, or chromed? The stainless ones shouldn't rust at all. The factory ones I have came from a '75 originally, but they don't have any rust at all on them. Where did you get yours?

Yeah, weird. I picked up a '75 recently that sat in a field for a few years. It had 3 flats when I pulled it out. Had to dig under it to jack it up and change wheels to get it on a trailer but no rust on the trim rings or center caps.

I think most of the aftermarket rings are chromed steel...and not very good chrome at that. The originals were polished stainless steel, I believe.
Still sux that they are already rusting after just one year....

They came with the car. Chromed. Apparently the cheap ones.

If you keep a good coat of polish on them, they shouldn't rust.
