Major overhaul for my '84 this winter. But it's worth every penny. Planned: complete performance engine rebuild. Rebuilt direct drive and overdrive from SK Speed, clutch, master, slave, etc.... New ball joints, tie rods, rack. Complete weatherstrip kit. Outer door seals. New carpets over dynamat, new leather seats. Already complete: cluster rebuilt. New Bilsteins installed. New pads, rotors, stainless hoses, master, and booster. New battery. Polished factory wheels. 16 hours spent detailing paint. Busy (and expensive) year for me!

Here in Central New York my 95 rests tucked away in the garage, covered with the battery tender connected  but always ready to venture out on nice crisp sunny winter days. We always get out a couple days every month during the winter and wow, the looks we get! While most other cars are dull and full of road dirt and salt spray my  polished vette stands out like a diamond reflecting the bright sun against the snow cover along the road side! It is amazing!!!

Vette(s): 1984 Coupe red/red, currently undergoing a slow restoration
My '84 will be undergoing major cosmetic restoration this winter. Drive train and suspension were done last year. Carpets, seats, all rubber seals, and some plastic work inside.  Keep me busy for the winter.

My red hot rod will be undergoing a suspension upgrade and ol black beaty has already see the snow  and that took about 4 wash jobs to get it cleaned up If I flip the black 85 I may spring for a pro charger for the red one or turbo that thing  500 HP is good   and MORE is better in my book LOL

My -94 Conv is garaged. The other 2 cars (newer and money wise more valuable..) will be held outdoor this winter. Some minor fixes as new weatherstrips, new seat leather covers, new emblems (hood and gas door). Before it got garaged I fixed some small paint defects. It'll be a 5 months looong wait until the snow and ice has gone away...

Do you store it?  Or do you live in an area where you can drive it 365?

If you store it? What do you do to get it ready for storage?

Will it look like this?

Yeah it looks like yours Adam. Done for the season and now praying for an early spring.

Change the oil, distribute a few bounce sheets here and there to keep the critters away, fill the gas tank, wash it, cover it and hook up the C-Tek b/charger.

Nice touch on your cover -- like the hash marks.Thumbs Up

yep- my 87 convertible looks kind of like yours. she has moved into her winter storage garage, though the cover doesn´t look as pretty as yours. it´s a bit big, as in summer, my 300CE Merc wears it. the cars swap garages in winter (just for the heck of it, so I can look at the Merc in winter and the C4 in summer...)
The Corvette is plugged into a Cetek battery charger and every now and then, I´ll push her a foot or so up and down the garage to keep the Michelins round and operate the fuel pump so it doesn´t forget what it´s for.

can´t drive nice cars in winter here in northern Germany, salt on the roads from dec till mar.

season´s greetings
Wolfram
