I have what looks like waterspots on my exterior windows that I can not get off. I have tried Windex, Stoners', and Bon Ami with no luck. The spots on the windshield are only in the non-wiper areas and on the other windows they cover them. The glass looks fine from a distance-but up close, and depending on the light, you can really see them. I have on used lint free cloth, sponges, and newspaper so far.

Any ideas? |confusing|

Hello Barry !
Try rubbing very gently with a steel wool and some paste wax.

if you use steel wool get 0000 grade its the finest available and will not leave scrach marks also wet it with windex while using it. i have also heard that a clay bar works. let us know how you make out.

I've used RainX on other vehicles, but not "The Toy". At least not yet. It can drive you crazy when it is raining because something is always moving on the windshield, like an army of ants. I've learned (the hard way) not to put it on the outside mirrors, side or rear windows because although the water beads up nicely, it doesn't go anywhere. Then you're trying to peer through a maze of wiggling water drops.

I had the same problem on my 82. It will come off with Wenol,
metal polish, and PLENTY of elbow grease.

I had one experience with Rain-X and that was all. I put it on the windshield and if I needed to run the wipers they would skip and jump across the window making visibility worse, not better. Never again.
