Ok Im gonna start to dress up my engine bay a tad and had some questions....
I think I want to use Calyx on most of the cast parts. I'm kinda torn between the calyx or Black gloss on the master cylinder, but not sure about the booster (CAD gold or black perhaps),but was wondering if anyone had any experience with painting the booster or just wanted to offer up some opinions..........

Rook, my red vette had the brake booster painted black and it flaking off looks like crap. I like that calyx and after watchin Frank use it on Barb's car I bought some from Eastwood. Eastwood makes a kit that will make your booster look like new cad. It's a three color spray kit check it out.
Now here's a Hot little secret.....do you own one of those small steam cleaners ?

We use the "Cad" spray kit at work to touch up zinc yellow parts - stuff is incredible - can't even tell (we just use two of three sprays for zinc yellow(gold & green)) Watch their video - pretty amazing what a light touch will do with the green & red clears on top of the gold opaque.
Great idea on the steam cleaner Al - I'll have to try that

I've thought about the steam cleaners, but never seen one that seemed to put out enough steam to do anything. Any brand ideas?

Did you read the review CON that does not recommend it for car engines?
Just one persons opinion. Without actually testing it.
