82dukman introduced me to "Mothers Mag Wheel and Aluminum Cleaner"

Just removed each tailight, rubbed a little of it on each, and wiped it off, and they were looking shinny and new!

We also blew out some dirt that had collected on the inside and wiped it clean.

Amazing improvement! |thumb|

Glad I could help, and I must say it was a 110% improvement. now you don't have to rush out and buy new lenses just yet |biggrin|

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.
Adam:
I'm assuming this puts a shine back on the tail lights which seem to become dull and hazy? Did you have to do the inside and outside of the lens? Did you have to worry about the aluminum? trim bezel around the lights as well?

Am thinking about trying this technique as well.

THanks,

Mark, Adam did this at my house. He just rubbed it on the exterior part of the lens and it brought them right back. We cleaned out the inside with a can of compressed air and wiped them out with Q-tips. He just did the outside but did not do the aluminum. I suppose it wouldn't hurt the aluminum trim, but check it. If it is painted with aluminum paint, it will wipe off |biggrin|

Put it this way... I wasn't careful to not get it on the trim...which mean I probably did get it on the trim.

But I did not, and have not noticed any problem with the trim since.
