The Absorber!

Gotta tell you guys, I've tried a lot of towels, chamois, etc to dry the Vette after washing, but I think I've finally found it. It's called The Absorber, and believe it or not I found it at KMart!

It's an orange towel that almost feels rubbery. It comes in a tube where you can store the towel wet for it's next use. But, WOW, does it soak up the water!

I've always found those little puddling points on the car were the hardest to get dry. You know, the taillight wells and such!? Put a corner of The Absorber in there and just watch it soak up the water. Wring it out when it starts pushing the water and you're good to go. Quickest drying time I've ever had on the Vette after a wash.

NOw, I know what you're thinking...you should only use a chamois to dry the Vette, and trust me I had my doubts when I started the process with this product. Even though it seemed like it was going to start scratching the paint (because it feels like rubber and doesn't want to move real easily at first) I did not have to put pressure on it and the absorbancy of it was phenomenal.

Well, tomorrow is the (from what I can tell LONG) process of "claying" thanks to Shark Bytes. And then the wax. Getting ready to hit Woodward Avenue in Detroit this week and weekend.

Does that really work as well as they say.. I've been tempted but haven't seen it up close... No spots?
I've got the Absorber too, and it really is great...

How many (Vette) washes can you get out of a kit?

Cool - thanks for the tip! Seeing as these are from K-Mart, I'm guessing they're reasonably priced?

I have seen them at AutoZone. I may have to try one.

I've used this product a long time. It's some sort of synthetic chamois, that does do a good job of absorbing water, without sctaching. At least as far as I could see on the cars I used it on.
