Let me start by saying I have a really bad back. I have been trying to replace the original exhaust on the vette for a couple of weeks. Once I get under the car I really hate to move so I stay in one location and clean all the road grime and gunk. It has been a pleasant surprise to see how nice the frame is with a wipe of a clothe. The parts of the frame that weren't protected by the oil and various fluids has a bit of surface rust. What rust encapsulator do you recommend? I saw some awhile ago that was black which would be perfect for the frame along the rocker panel molding.
Yeah, I know, Shut up Dave.

I've had good luck w/ a product called Paint Over Rust or POR-15. It's expensive but doesn't require real good cleaning. Just remove loose rust and oil/grease. Wear rubber gloves because if you get it on your skin, you'll wear it 'til it wears off. Don't ask me how I know. ;)
