After reading all these response's I will quit using any of the wax's I have (quite a bit) that have silicone. I stripped the old wax off, clayed it and re-waxed my car. Hopefully, I didn't do any real harm that may effect a future paint job.
What did you use to get the old wax off yer car?
, I didn't know about the Silicone..........
........I used some stuff with that in it on the C5.....
I used Mother's "pre-wax cleaner & remover". Worked ok

I found Eagle Pure Carnauba at the St. Ignace Vette show and it was only $14.00 - I have tried them all- this works the best for me. - Ken

I am a huge Zaino fan for years. However, I think it shows better on darker cars. I had a black TA that it worked great on and my dark green metallic vette it is awesome. I tried it on a silver and also on a pewter car with less satisfying results. On the lighter colors I went back to a Megular's carnuba.

I use Zaino with great results. Very deep shine that lasts for a loooong time. Of course, your results may vary and there are many great products out there.
