Hello there - I have to get on with detailing the engine compartment of my vette - problem is with alkl the chrome I have under there it tyakes sevral hours to do a good job - my question is if any of you have experience with using one of these hanging electric motors that have a 6 foot flexible shaft. Has the process of detailing been helped using that at all? Thanks

Heh Ken, not sure what your looking at? Got any pictures?
At work we have "Foredom"scribers that we scribe part numbers and such into metal. It has a collet and rotates (spins) at different speeds. You can change collets for different size dia. shafts it hangs off a portable pole and has at least a four foot flex shaft. It works well and I'm sure it could hold some Dremel type polishing tools.
But I have seen a nice Dremel Stylist hand held unit that is rechargeable. It's small light weight and fits in your palm, that might work for you. Cheapest I found was like 70 bucks.
Not sure if this helps?
