No, Kevin...that's NOT what I smelled!

I've never heard of the Pledge thing...I wonder about the long-term effects on the plastics/vinyl stuff?
Joel,
I used it for 5 years on my 65 GTO, and then 5 years on my 70 Lemans. Never had a problem with cracking or anything. Doors, dash, console and seats all looked & smelled great. And for the last 4 years I've been using it on my 74.

I propose that our very own Micki perform a personal demonstration of this amazing detailing technique on each member's car at Carson City.

That way, everyone can be sure that they properly understand the process before attempting it themselves later, at home.

.........Well, if I go to Carson City, hey, I might take you up on that! Wink  I actually enjoy cleaning vettes.  I've been using the Pledge on my C5 (Otis).  Haven't used it on my greypoupon mustard car yet (C3), but as soon as I have more time I'm gonna. Big%20smile

I had my engine detailed (C5) at the Chevy Dealer and they used this even greasier stuff that Pledge..........talk about "Yuck-o-la!" Dead

Vette(s): 1982 Black over red, doing a resto.
I used Pledge in the 60,s and 70,s, before the fancy stuff came out!

I also washed my car with dish soap, after a kerosene bath to get the tar off of it. Then it was time to wax it!!!

The good old days.

Brake fluid shined up the tires, after using Comet on the whitewalls.

Hey, it worked!

Vette(s): 73 coupe bought new in 1973 with only luggage rack, AM/FM radio, HD battery & Maplight as options. L48, 4 speed, Paint Med Met Blue 922 interior Dark saddle 418 special order. Repurchased 4/1/06 after 24 years.
I've used Pledge on Plexiglass aircraft windshields, and Motorcycle windscreens for years.  It works great at reducing the effect of scratches and improving the visibility, and the bugs wash off easer.  I use it on the front bumpers and headlight covers of my wifes Acura for the same reason.  Great stuff!

Ditto on aircraft windshields and side windows. I have used it on the helicopter bubbles for years. It really makes a difference when sparying them bugs off. Of course if it is Airpledge it's $150.00 A CAN.Rolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing
