any ideas on how to get some corroison off stock air cleaner lid Its a small amount around inside rim a new lid is over $100 help

Vette(s): 1972 Coupe Anything, but Stock and more mods to come! SSBC Force 10 Brakes, 3.73, TH350, 355 CID, Rack and Pinion, Vette Brakes suspension front and rear.
What Kind of Corrosion? I would check with mothers or meguiars to see what they have. I would read the label first, but CLR can be used on chrome shower heads to remove rust, scale, calcium, etc. It might remove paint so be careful.

try Eagle One Nevr-Dull. I used this stuff on the underside of my back bumpers and it took 32 years worth of corrosion and black heat marks right off.
