Well...I got the email about posting something, so I would like EVERYONE to know that I am the proud owner of a new 2009 Corvette ZR1 !!!  Black exterior with black interior, chrome wheels, fully loaded.  I've had 2 C5 Coupes, a C5 Z06 and a C6 Z06...ALL black.  Beautiful cars, all of them.  My new one though....is like driving the 2007 Z06 after it had been on steroids for awhile...hahaha.  Surprisingly, it's much quieter inside the car as you're driving.  I can actually talk on the phone...haha.  But when you push the accelerator down, there's a roar that comes from the 638 supercharged horses under the hood unlike ANY of my previous Vettes.  I tried to post a picture, but the website would not accept it.  Maybe another time.

Hi there.

Congrats on your new ZR1!  Sounds like an awesome machine!

I would love to see pictures of it.  It is possible the photo you tried to upload is larger than 1MB.  I just made a change to the site that should allow you to upload a file that is up to 5MB.  If your file is larger than that, you'll have to resize it before you upload it.

Please try again now.

While you are in the message post box you'll see the image upload icon. Click that to upload.

If you don't see the icon, you are probably in the Quick Reply box and you'll have to click the Go Advanced icon to get to the full message entry page where you will see the icon.

If your file is over 5MB, and you do not know how to resize it using tools on your computer, you can try this online resize tool.  Select the "600 Pixels" option and you should be good to go!  After you click the Resize button, remember to right-click the resized image to save it to your hard drive, then choose that new file to upload here.

Thanks!

Let me try this again then....When I try to insert a picture, I get this message.  The picture is 190kb so it's not the size.

I saw a ZR1 for the first time just a couple days ago.  It was Jetstream Blue and was sitting in a motel parking lot.  Very nice looking car!

Rusty, that is great!  So, are there available options for the ZR1, or is it just assumed that if you want that car, you're gonna want it ALL!  So is this a daily driver, or just weekends.  If daily, how long is your commute?  Have you had a chance to take it to it's limits yet?

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

No, there are options.  But, I did go for everything available, which added about $16k to the price.  I figured on this car, I'd want it all!!  No, this is definitely not a daily driver.  My commute to my office is 100 miles round trip.  Also, TOO many dummys out there not paying attention to how they drive...haha.  It's a weekend car, which my last Z06 was too.  No, I've not had a chance to really try it out yet.  Just hit the 500 mile mark for the breakin period.  From what I've done though, I can tell it surpasses the C6 Z06 I had by quite a bit, and sounds MUCH better...hahaha
