I am happy with my C6 in everything except the wheel finish. The navigation system worked flawlessly over a weekend trip to Charlotte, love the head up display messages and audio prompts where to turn, etc. XM radio is a nice option and I rarely use the CD player. Mine has Magnetic selective ride control, but doesn't seem to change the ride much from stock. It is a better car that any of my 3 previous C5s, but I wish I had dual tops for the coupe. I have a glass top that gets hot under the sun, so I have to order a standard top from the dealer and have it painted to match the Daytona Orange Sunset metallic. I have 1600 miles on it, have had it up to 105mph and is steady as a rock. I love this car better than my C5s, and rate it 9/10 due to the wheels.

Picked up my c6 Silver, 1SB, MSRC, NAV, Auto, Polished Wheels, Trans Top, 10/23/2004. Had 4 miles on it. Last 4 #'s of VIN 5802.

Seems to be very quite - much quiter than my c5 - and very well built. Ride seems to be improved too.

Wife is just elated with cup holders, air-conditioner outlets, door pocket holders and passenger room.

I have a question... When does the memory function kick in? On the C5 the adjustments take place when ya put the key in the ignition and obviously that won't work, huh?

As an aside, convertible production must be starting, my coupe build date just slipped three weeks |frown|

The memory function is fob dependent. The key fob identifies you to the car and initiates all of the memory functions. Mine is a one-driver car, with all my settings made with fob 1. I accidentally grabbed fob 2 one day and found out that the car didn't recognize me at all - including all of the radio presets. When I went and got fob 1, all of my settings - seat, steering wheel, mirrors and radio presets reappeared.

Sorry, forgot to add that the memory functions kick in when you push the start button.

<<They could use an automatic system like I remember an old Cadillac having. But probably not allowed in these times as it would maybe sheer a childs finger off. >>

Those pneumatic closure devices are on many, many vehicles nowadays ... including minivans ... which use them to automatically raise and lower the entire rear lift gate. I never thought about using that on the hatch ... maybe it was considered ... I would imagine space and weight would be a concern.

Had to delete a reply from happy. He must have missed a | somewhere in the QUOTE tag. Here is the text of his post:

Not much wrong may just be the answer!  At this point I'm trying to make the decision of whether or not should I get into a new C7 or put money into my C6 Grand Sport to bump the horsepower and maybe a little suspension work.  Spend the money on a new C7 or the C6?  Embarrassed
