Hmmm...
I took a look at my polished wheels, and think they look pretty nice. Not chrome for sure, but they have a nice "high quality" look to them. I looked at an exchange program for chrome wheels, and decided to stick with the ones I've got.
For those of us who are looking for a more subdued look, the polished wheels fit.

Listening to all you guys talk about your C6's is killing me. I ordered a yellow 1SB 6Spd Z51 3 weeks ago. It was origionally scheduled for production 10/5 but that was pushed back a week. I hope to see it by the end of the month???? Having read all your comments I'm even more anxious to drive it.

As I asked everyone (above) on Oct 10th...when you look at your C6 Polished Wheels CLOSELY, what is your opinion of the finish? Then, compare that to the C5 polished wheels.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I saw a yellow coupe similar to what I ordered parked at my gym this morning. I almost drove into a curb looking at it.
I can't wait to get mine. I looked carefully at the polished wheels and they looked fine to me???
Thanks,
Mark

Mark, any idea what the VIN range is on this C6? And, you have to really look up close and personal to see the imperfections and flaws in the Polished Wheels.
Re: C6 CONVERTIBLES...latest status in early 2005 delivery.

Having read the concerns of some regarding the "High Polished Forged Steel Wheels", I took some pics of one of the wheels on my C6 and posted them on website.
That link is: http://198.104.191.250/C6Wheels.htm
I think mine look great. Sure, if I take a magnifying glass to a couple of the edges, I can see some very small porosity or inclusions - but nothing visible without extremely close inspection.
Having worked in the metals business for 30+ years, I know first-hand that anytime you take the outer skin off any casting or forging, that is anytime you polish any casting or forging, you will reveal microscopic porosity to one extent or another.
Perhaps some of those who have voiced a complaint have wheels that don't look as great as mine do??
