I know alot of people are upset for (possibly) losing the traditional pop ups... I guess we really dont know yet but from all I am hearing they will be non pop up.
Personally it doesnt matter to me. Im sorta looking forward to seeing them. Its been a while. :)
What are your thoughts?

If they are tastefully done and integrated to the looks of the car...then I'm all for it! |thumb| Right now, I just can't seem to get used to the C5R non pop-ups. |ick|

This will be one of the main factors on if I get a C6 or not. If it doesn't have some kind of hidden headlight it will make it real hard for me to want one.

Each new generation of vettes ends some traditions and starts new ones. The remaining constant: the look, performance, and value are unmistakably Corvette.

Hidden headlights were great. The losses of exhausts that exited the body (53-67?), Chrome bumpers (53-74), side exhausts (65-69), loss of vert (75-86), significant reduction in engine options (72-now) were also disturbing, but the vette just keeps getting better. I'm sure it will be the same with the headlights. IMHO

Non-pop up would help in weight reduction, looks and current styling. I say make the change. |thumb|

It really doesn't make much difference to me. The hidden ones when up are a compromise. If they are done nicely as suggested by the New Mexico spy shots of the black prototype I think they will be fine. |thumb|

I agree with cafranz. But it shouldn't be too Viper-like. |hammer|

They won't be Viper-like 'cause Lutz killed the design that was, coincidentally, very similar to the '03 Viper. This is what caused the delay in the the C6. We almost had a C6 in '03 - same release as the new Viper - and the two would have nearly been twins on side and front. IMO I can't wait to read the C6 version of "All Corvettes are Red".
