What type of interior upgrades your hoping to see

From the C5.. what type of upgrades in the interior are you hoping to find.

A couple of mine are that I hope HUD is standard and not an option.

Also hope they improve the leather quality of the seats.

My hope would be some colors besides black and two tone upholstery as a minimum. The spy shots already suggest a two tone dash..thank goodness.

Where is the bow tie smile?

For me I would like to see GPS, pockets in the doors and a more comfortable place to rest the drivers right arm.

1. Standard model option of an interior with NO Black in it except the guages!!
2. Upgrade in seating leather quality
3. Home link (the 3 little buttons to eliminate fumbling with the garage door opener.
4. HUD that works with steering wheel buttons to control HVAC and sound system.
5. TWO CUP HOLDERS!!!!
6. That slick entry and start up system that XLR has - Keyless KOOL!!
7. On Star. I just don't have enough electronic services to pay for now. Cable, Tivo, cells; may as well add On Star. However, On Star should go a step farther and if the car is moved 6 feet without being started it should alert On Star who calls the owner and continues to track the car. We need any break on insurance we can get.

less plastic...better leather seats (all leather).

Oh yah, from another thread, I guess I can plan on paying monthly XM subscriptions too.

I would like to have some other color than black for the dash.

better switch gear, and PLEASE the steering wheel...OEM one now reminds me of a pick up truck steering wheel

Audi has been the quoted benchmark ( by Lutz) so I made a point of going to an Audi dealer today. I looked at the A4, S4, and A6. For a black interior they were essentially monochromatic. Okay some had a chrome shift gate. Big Deal. Other color interiors did indeed have a two tone system plus lighter wood burl and the metallic shift gate. The center consol had more than it's share of small buttons. Only one interior had cupholders in the consol. The others had the pushout trays higher up by the air conditioner center outlets. I still have to say big deal. What I couldn't measure is leather feel as the place was closed. The black interior had leather with quite an imbossed pattern whereas the lighter colors I preferred (for color reasons)had smooth leather.

I am left with no criteria for great interiors.

Steering Wheel is going to have to change some to support the paddle shifter.
