The BEST way to tie one down is with tire slings, that go over the tops of the tires, and then cinch down to the trailer. Some auto parts places have them and probably the trailer dealer. You can also get them at Northern Tools, if there is one in your area.
Otherwise, you need to locate a position on the suspension to put the tie-down straps over. You want to secure the car, but it needs to be able to move on it's own suspension as you travel over bumps.
On my cars, I run a strap across from one side to the other, thru the lower control arms. At the rear, I go over the top of the diff., and out to the sides of the trailer. The C5/6 cars are slightly different, I know, but this method will still work. Hope it helps... |wavey|
