I have an 06 Conv.,pulled up beside a CTS Cadillac V-8,I was just in the drive mode, off we went, He was at my front door knocking!! Way Too Close!
What are they making to add on to avoid this type of embarrasment in the future???
That sure wasn`t The "Old Man`s" Cadillac!!!

Er, uh ... it's called a Z06! While I am not a wrench-head, I believe the Caddy came out first, and is stuffed with the components of a C6 engine. Heck, you can find variations of the C6 engine in a GTO and SSR as well!

The plain-Jane CTS Caddi arrived with a V6. Â Then it was updated to the CTS V running a ZO6 LS6 engine in 2004. Â My wife drives the first one that arrived in our city. Â Unfortunately it mated the high torque Vette engine onto the wimpy CTS V6 Chassis so wheel hop is a real problem. Â It still stomps my 2007 C6 Vert.
However, the Cadillac CTS model upgrade occurred in 2009, brandishing a very stout rear end. Â Therefore, the CTS V model runs the ZR1 super Vette engine slightly detuned to 556 Horsepower. Â The rear end was beefed up to handle gobs of torque, so! there is no wheel hop. Â The new CTS V is proven to be the fastest sedan to ever run the German Nurbergring course. Â My wife plans to purchase the 2010 CTS V Coupe when it arrives this fall (if it arrives, what with GM troubles as they are!). Â Oh what a beautiful car. Â Â

The Mallett Bros make all kinds of HP stuff for the V8 version Caddy too. I know why would anyone want to do that to a Caddy right? Well, why not......
. There are some pretty quick comfort sedans on todays market. Just cuz you are cruizin comfortable doesn't mean you can't get there fast!

Amen! People LOVE driving MB AMG's, and BMW M's ... it shouldn't be restricted to German sedans. US automakers have not really tried to seduce that marketplace. The Impala SS has been gone for quite some time now ... but it was an different animal. I have not driven the Pontiac G8 on steroids, but it's likely a step in the right direction.

Cadillac developed the CTS V specifically to compete and steal customers from BMW 'M' series cars as well as AMG Mercedes. The 2011 CTS-V Coupe —a high performance sport coupe has a 0–60 time 3.9 seconds. Derived from the Corvette ZR1, the Eaton-supercharged, inter cooled 6.2L (6,162cc 376 cu in) V8 engine generates 556 horsepower and 551 lb.-ft. of torque from an incredibly potent but detuned version of the ZR1 supercharged V8. Even with this sleeper easily blowing away most takers, the performance just begs for more. I am installing a CAI along with Headers and full Borla exhaust (exhaust note is too tame for my wife and myself). Just added Lexani wheels to the CTS V.
For now, I need guidance on a suitable CAI for my Z51 Convertible Vette. I want a CAI that suitably insultes the intake to avoid engine heat transfer. Also going for a Borla exhaust for my 2007 Corvette. I have used Borla many times through the years; love the sound and performance.

The G8 is being re-released as a Chevrolet SS ... can't wait!
