Can someone tell me what is the torque requirements for the lug nuts? I didn't find it in the owners's manual.  And can I lift the vette by placing the jack under the lifting pucks?

Yes, you can lift the Vette safely after the jacking pucks are installed.  It's always good to open the doors , hood, and hatch/trunk to take any body torque off of these points.

 I don't have pucks, but do use a piece of pine wood between the jack and the car. (Gotta remove wheels, after all, for best cleaning)

I do the same with mine  as well.  The wood will work but not quite the safest thing.  You can pick up the jacking pucks on "Ebay" between $12 & $20 rather than those rip off prices in the catalogues.

 I would actually like to get some pucks. There's a lot of people that don't want to go through the extra trouble of taking wheels off for cleaning but when the inside area is clean it really shows.
 I think it was the drag strip that got me used to changing wheels. I'd drive my car there and put the slicks on. Race all day and change them back. It was nothing to just change them in 5 minutes.

Just a note, I take a swiffer duster and just dip it in my wash bucket when I'm done with the car and use that to clean the wheels. It works pretty well and fit's between the caliper's and the rim.
