I own a C3 and a C5 which I love both in there own respective ways. So tell me why I would want to buy a C6?

I say this as if you were the salesperson and I just walked into the showroom / lot.

What is it that is going to make me want to buy one? Wink

Tux,I can say I love mine, you have seen it at Hot Springs. I cant give much comparison between the C5 & C6 as I never had a C5. I have some feed back from those that I have let drive it, smoother ride, beter handling and a heck of alot more get up and gone! It is great on gas, I get 22.5 back and forth to work and up to about 31 on highway,it is a daily driver. I do not like the Ebony interior, I have had the driver seat back replaced once and it will be replaced again. On the driver side the bolster on the left were you get in and out gets marked up real bad, the Ebony is hard to keep cleen in my op.
Bottom line, try it out. Go test drive a C5 and then a C6.They all have good points and bad just a matter of taste I guess. One thing for sure I will never give up the C3Wink

We have a 1972 C3, 1999 C5 and a 2008 C6-

It is hard to compare them- If the C3 drove and rode like either the C5 or the C6 that is all we would have- it is our favorite body style- but for travel either the C5 or C6 have it beat hands down- both have trunks- I have driven a C5 19 hours straight and was able to get out of it on my own- not sure about doing that in the C3-

The C6 is pretty quick- faster by far than the C5 or C3- better braking- handling- I think you need to get in one and test drive it and make up your own mind-

The C3 gets the looks though- it is just a great design- timeless-

Yeah Fred we had a good time in out little trip up the hill in the park.... I just wish I could have opened my C5 up a little bit but I know the ground effects would have become just that if I had.... Ground Effects.....

Thanks for the tip on the Ebony interior.

Bob your absolutely right. No way I would drive my C3 very far. 300 miles is all I can physically take (or want to) in it. It is also built and geared in such a manner that it doesn't like much more than that at a time.

I drove an Atomic Orange coupe with a doeskin interior and in general liked the car. I didn't like the interior much. I thought GM overdid it with plastic. I seemed to have less room than my C5 roadster.

It performed flawlessly like I expected it. I know that I wouldn't be happy if it wasn't a roadster so I need to give one a whirl next.

Thanks Guys for your input. Maybe a few others in here well add their insight as well.

Ok now I know where the C3VR banner wentLOL Did they ever get the banner back? It came up missing at NCM right?
I had a good time at HS, wish my C3 could have made it(it can now)

LOL Naw this isn't the stolen banner. adam allowed me to take this one for the Midwest Cruise in to Fort Wayne this year.

The lost banner went AWOL at the Carlisle Show. Adam went to get it from the booth on the last day and it was gone.

To the best of my knowledge it was never returned.

Yep, I would have loved to driven my C3 too. But we drove down on Friday and home on Sunday.

More car time than my raggedy ol' butt can take in the Stingray.

Bolster wear is not an issue with the seats, or quality of the leather ... it is an operator error.  Anyone with a C5 can select the auto exit feature on DIC to retract the seat.  Though I do not have a C6, I would think the auto exit feature is likely on the C6 as well.  For those not familiar with the feature, I would refer them to their owner's manual.  Little conveniences such as this have been engineered into vehicles for then benefit and enjoyment of the consumer.Clap

Lets also add here that the engineers have been quoted as saying that they corrected the little things wrong or an irritation on the C5 when they made the C6.

Well I think they missed a little problem. Mine does not have an auto exit in it, every person with a C6 with ebony interior has the same problem so I would have to say it is not an operator error. My service advisor told me that when I get around the end of warrenty bring it in again and they will replace back and bottom, because by that time it will need the bottom also.
